If you like tequila and tacos topped off with hot, rockin’ live music then you should already know that it is almost time for the Annual Tequila & Taco Music Festival. Brought to you by the producers of the popular California Beer Festival, this year the event will be a two-part celebration held on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 on the water at 200 Marina Park Way, Embarcadero Marina Park South, in San Diego, California. The state’s largest traveling tequila bash begins—rain or shine–at 11:00 a.m. and runs until approximately 6:00 p.m. each day.
Saturday’s Tequila Day event focuses on tequila sampling from 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. Those in attendance can expect to enjoy tequila from 3 Crowns Distillers & Importers, The Bloody Cure, Dulce Vida Tequila, and others. The day will also feature gourmet tacos, entertainment by DJ Dale Diego, and live music by Say Real, Adelaide, and Sambada. Margaritas and craft beer will also be available for purchase.
Sunday’s Mas Margaritas event is a friendly festival featuring entertainment by DJ Dale Diego, and live music by Rey Fresco, Sambada, Adelaide, street tacos, and margaritas. There will not be any tequila sampling.
Ticket prices for Tequila & Taco Music Festival are as follows:
“General Admission” tickets (on both days) are $10.00 (Price includes entry into festival and access to entertainment, all vendors, craft beer and margarita booths.).
“Saturday Tequila Experience” tickets are $40. (Price includes admission, access to entertainment, access to vendors, one souvenir tasting glass and six half-ounce samples of tequila. Participants must be 21 or older with a valid ID to buy these tickets).
“Premiere 2-Day Pass” tickets are $60. (Price includes admission, access to entertainment, access to vendors, one souvenir tasting glass, six half-ounce samples of tequila (Saturday only), one souvenir margarita glass and one margarita. Participants must be 21 or older with a valid ID to buy these tickets). Children 12 and under are free.
All proceeds from Tequila & Taco Music Festival will go to benefit The Gen Giammanco Foundation. The GGF provides funds to assist deserving college bound student athletes who display the commitment and passion for realizing their dreams of both athletic and scholastic success in San Diego.
